While scrolling on Instagram, you must have noticed that you see similar kinds of posts you have liked or interacted with. This is called the Interest feature.

Based on the accounts you follow and posts you’ve liked the Instagram algorithm thinks you will “like” a certain type of post and thus it promotes it in your feed. Instagram Algorithm records your behaviors and based on the combination, your Instagram feed is compiled.

Basically, what you see in your Instagram feed is a combination of all of your Instagram behaviors. Plus, the accounts you interact with the most, the people you are tagged in photos with, also send positive signals to the Instagram algorithm.
